Tulips

My boyfriend bought me these lovely tulips earlier in the week. They are a bit past their best now, but still really pretty.

Tulips are one of my favourite flowers, I think I like the shape of them. I particularly like the colours of these ones- I adore red tulips, and variegated ones. It's nice to have a mix of colours rather than having to choose one. 

The jug I have used for the tulips is one my dad gave me, I think he found it in a charity shop. It came with a bowl which I'm planning to use as a fruit bowl. It has little terracotta coloured flowers and leaves on so it goes really well with the walls, and it looks very vintage, so it's exactly my kind of thing.

This has just reminded me of some tulip fabric I have tucked away somewhere, I will have to dig it out!
