Spice and Candied Peel Cakes

These are some cakes I made today with my brother and sister. They have spices and candied peel in them,  so had a Christmassy smell. Apparently they were tasty, although I didn't try any-I often find that if I make cakes I don't want to eat them straight away. The recipe is from the current issue of making magazine, which I'm quite impressed with. I'm not usually a fan of craft magazines as some of them are so laden with twee, hideous projects that they put me off crafts altogether! But making seems to be doing pretty well, the projects are tasteful and don't require several hundred pounds of materials and equipment to start.

It's Christmas crafts a go go here right now, I spent the afternoon working on a Christmas stocking as well as the cakes and have just printed a stack of Christmas projects from the Martha Stewart website. It's funny to think that in a month Christmas Day will already have come and gone...

Pumpkin Cupcakes

I actually made these cupcakes over a week ago but I only just got round to photographing them! My kitchen is so cold at the moment (it's an extension to the the main house so isn't very well insulated) it has kept them nice and fresh. I don't think we really even need a fridge in the winter it's so cold!

Autumn At The American Museum

Yesterday I went to the American Museum with my boyfriend. I can't remember going in Autumn before, and it was interesting to see how different it looked from when I visited earlier in the year.
