Happy Halloween!

Happy Halloween everyone! I hope everyone has had a fun evening! The drawing above is one I did for my Halloween cards this year. I have always liked Halloween, which is a bit strange as I don't like anything to do with horror (other than vampires, which I am slightly obsessed with). I think it's because as the dark nights start drawing in I need something a bit festive to brighten things up.
I had a Halloween night out last night, and went to a pub full of people dressed as zombies and other terrifying creatures! I went for a slightly more glamorous look-for the purposes of Halloween I was a vampire, but as I remarked to a friend you can wear pretty much anything and say you're a vampire.
I sewed some lace onto a corset I already had to make a halterneck, because I felt a bit too exposed in the corset alone. I wore it with a floor length skirt which is red with a black sheer over skirt, black mary jane shoes with extremely high heels, and a heart shaped padlock necklace.
This evening I went over to my mum's house for a quick visit and carved a pumpkin while I was there. It had a happy, cute face rather than a scary one because I seem to be incapable of making scary things.
My brother and sister had also carved pumpkins which were outside the front door to greet trick or treaters.
I made this tea light holder last year for an article I wrote on Halloween decorations. I think it will now be brought out every year as I like it and seemingly so does everyone else! It's like a pumpkin without all the goo and mess.
My mum had a little lantern lit to guide the trick or treaters down the path. I thought it looked so pretty!
I'm staying in tonight and I'm a bit too old for trick or treating, so I shall spend the rest of the night eating the chocolate vampires I was sent by a friend-they are delicious!-and perhaps watching an episode of Being Human, which is about as horrific as I can handle!
